Why Setur Hydro Power?

Hydropower surpasses solar power in reliability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness due to its consistent and predictable energy source (flowing water) compared to the intermittent nature of solar energy (sunlight). Here's a more detailed comparison:

Reliability and Pr​edictability

Water flows are generally consistent and predictable, making hydropower a reliable source of baseload power.

Solar power generation is dependent on sunlight, which varies throughout the day, season, geographic location and with weather conditions, leading to intermittency.

Efficiency

Modern hydro turbines can convert over 90% of the water's energy into electricity.

Solar panels typically convert 15-20% of sunlight into electricity, although technology is improving.

Cost

Upfront capital costs for Setur turbines is relatively low, the energy source (flowing water) is free, and operational costs are low. 

Solar panels have high initial costs, but operational costs are relatively low, and the cost of solar power is decreasing.

Environmental Impact

Hydropower is a clean energy source. Setur turbines installed in accordance with national and local water usage laws have no negative environmental impact.

Solar panels have minimal emissions when operating, but their production and disposal have significant environmental impacts.
